Not going to get into it too much, but the eagle-eyed among you will have figured out why I haven’t posted in a while. In short: It’s heartbreak and, for someone who’s on the verge of 36, it really shouldn’t be a big deal. It shouldn’t have hit as hard as it did, but they were the first person I asked out in a long time1 and their response defied Betteridge’s Law.

It still stings, but I’m doing much better now than I was a couple months ago. Hinging the entire blog on one person being impressed by the Boston trips wasn’t the smartest decision I’ve made.

That said, I am going to make last year’s trip to Philadelphia an October thing since I want to get a celebration in before CheapShow comes back from hiatus. Otherwise, the plan continues unabated…
